"Hands down the best travel tour I’ve ever been on"
I now understand what a difference a great tour guide makes to a travel experience. I’ve been on a lot of tours, I mean a lot. For the most part they are interesting and enjoyable, and then there is the Historic Ally Tours with Alistair Heather (Ally). Hands down the best travel tour I’ve ever been on, but additionally, it was so much fun.
We laughed a lot on the tour, not just at the usual tour group jokes, but real laughter that lightens your soul. If you can only go on one tour in your life, go on this one, you won’t regret it. I’m already planning on going back. If you go, ask Ally about the history of whisky…. it’ll blow your mind!

Best Tour Ever.
My friend and I recently went on a bespoke tour of Scotland with Ally and we can not recommend this tour enough. Ally was professional, knowledgeable and made the tour SO much fun. My friend isn’t quite as big of a history buff as I am and he made sure to make it just as interesting and engaging for the both of us.
Ally made this a trip of a lifetime for us and I can not recommend him enough! He truly set the bar of what an exceptional tour guide should be 🙂
